International Film Screening The Age of Stupid

The Age of Stupid. Inspiring Climate Change Film Everybody needs to watch this captivating and inspiring film. The Age of Stupid stars Oscar-nominated Peter Postlethwaite as a man living in the devastated future world of 2055 looking back and asking, ‘Why didn’t we stop climate change when we had the chance?’. The film is being shown as part of a series of climate change events hosted by Declan Waugh of Partnership For Change. All welcome, admission free.

Cork Environmental Forum Environmental Award


The 2008 Cork Environmental Forum (CEF) Environmental award for individual action was presented to Declan Waugh Chairperson Partnership for Change for his unprecedented effort and personal commitment organising the international PFC Climate Change Conference. Declan was presented with the CEF Award by Senator Dan Boyle for his outstanding contribution to education and awareness on climate change within the community.

European Union Sustainable Energy Week 9th-13th Feb 2009

The EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is the key annual reference point for sustainable energy issues in Europe. The events organised during EUSEW cover key topics that highlight the multi-sectoral nature of sustainable energy development and stress the need for everyone to work together towards a common goal. For EUSEW Declan Waugh was invited to speak to the ESB West Cork division in Dunmanway on climate change and energy.


Environ 2009

Declan Waugh Chairperson of Partnership for Change was invited to speak at the Irish Environmental Scientist Association 19th Annual Colloquium in Waterford Institute of Technology on the 19th February. The title of the presentation is “As environmental professionals how are we prepared to handle the challenges of the 21st century?”
